Beres, Spencer and Thomas pass boards
We are incredibly proud to announce that three members of the UW-Madison Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology team passed their board exams!
Emily Beres, MD
Emily Beres, MD, of the UW Ob-Gyn Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology, earned her MD at the University of Washington School of Medicine. After a residency in family medicine at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho, Beres completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology with our department, graduating in 2015. She joined our faculty as a clinical assistant professor in 2015.
Ryan Spencer, MD
Ryan Spencer, MDof the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Gynecology Oncology, passed his gyn onc boards in Texas. Spencer received his medical degree from the Stony Brook University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the integrated training program at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Spencer graduated from the UW Ob-Gyn Gynecologic Oncology fellowship program in 2015 and joined our faculty. In 2017, he became the associate director of the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program.
Joelle Thomas, MD
Joelle Thomas, MD Though she recently left UW Ob-Gyn, we are still incredibly proud of Joelle Thomas, MD, formerly of the Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology. Thomas graduated from medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology with our department. She finished her residency in 2015 and joined our faculty as a clinical assistant professor.
