2017 Innovations in Women’s Health a smashing success

On November 17, 2017, UW Ob-Gyn hosted the annual Innovations in Women’s Health continuing medical education conference. This year, the conference planning committee took the event to a new level.

Conference Chair Christine Heisler, MD, of the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Gynecology, planned an action-packed day of education, including a morning on hot topics in women’s health and breakout sessions focused on geriatrics, mental health, tumors, and obstetrics/reproduction. Many attendees were also excited for the opportunity to hear from keynote speaker Emily Lukacz, MD MAS, Program Director of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine.

This year, 140 people attended the conference to learn from 24 presenters, including 13 presenters from UW Ob-Gyn faculty. This is a huge improvement over 81 attendees and 9 presenters in 2016.

Huge congratulations to Dr. Heisler and the whole Innovations planning committee on a truly exceptional event! Thank you for hosting the best women’s health CME conference in Wisconsin!
