MFM Fellowship Application Deadline

Application Requirements:
  • Program Qualification: Our program accepts United States citizens and foreign applicants who have completed an ABOG-approved, four-year Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. [See below for Visa requirements.]
  • ERAS Common Application Form (CAF) Submitted via ERAS: Visit ERAS Fellowships for further information. Our program only accepts ERAS-submitted applications.

  • Personal Statement: Your one-page Personal Statement should describe your interest in pursuing a fellowship in MFM and your long-range goals after fellowship is completed. This may include any specific research or clinical interests and plans to serve as an MFM consultant in private or academic medicine.

  • Three Letters of Recommendation: Minimum three letters of recommendation from professional colleagues, one of which must be from the Program Director of your residency program.

  • Description of Your Resident Research Project: Minimum half-page to maximum one-page description. If your residency program did not require a resident research project, please submit a statement as such.


  • Wallet-sized Color Photograph

  • USMLE or COMPLEX Step 1-3 Score Reports:
    • USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) Step 1 – 3 Score Reports: Required for MD applicants
    • COMLEX (Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination) Step 1 – 3 Score Reports: Required for DO applicants

  • ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) Status Report: Required for International Medical Graduate applicants.
    • Visa Status: International Medical Graduate applicants must possess an immigration / green card or an approved work permit visa for the entire three-year fellowship training period (include documentation).
