Gravelle selected for induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society

Congratulations to UW Department of Ob-Gyn resident John Gravelle, MD, PGY-3, who was selected for induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as a resident/fellow member! Gravelle was nominated by members of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health medical student class of 2024 to join the society.

Alpha Omega Alpha is a medical honor society that recognizes individuals for their excellence in scholarship, professionalism, leadership, and teaching. The criteria for induction are based on the AOA’s founding principles of recognizing educational achievement, honoring gifted teaching, encouraging leadership development, supporting the ideals of humanism, and promoting service to others.

Gravelle and other nominees will be honored at the annual AOA Banquet and Induction Ceremony on April 2, 2024. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor, Dr. Gravelle!

Gravelle nominated to Gold Humanism Honor Society

Huge congratulations to UW Ob-Gyn resident John Gravelle, MD, PGY-2! Gravelle was nominated to join the Gold Humanism Honor Society by UW School of Medicine and Public Health medical students. Every year, the newest medical student members of the Honor Society from the UW SMPH nominate two faculty members and one resident from the entire medical school to the society. Gravelle is the only resident across the SMPH to be nominated for induction this year!

The Gold Humanism Honor Society recognizes senior medical students, residents, and role-model physician teachers for "demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service." GHHS serves as a steadfast advocate for humanism through a variety of activities for campus students and healthcare professionals.

The 2022 induction ceremony is coming up in August. Please help us congratulate Dr. Gravelle on this exciting and well-deserved honor!
