In addition to his research and work in the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Reproductive Sciences, David Abbott, PhD, is a renowned undergraduate educator on the UW campus! This year, students he mentored had a strong showing at the UW-Madison Undergraduate Symposium.

Abbott was faculty mentor for seven undergraduates who presented their research at the symposium in April. Students presented topics like “Does Hypothalamic Estrogen Receptor Alpha Regulate Body Weight in Prepubertal Female Rhesus Macaques?” and “Pancreatic Islet Morphology in Prenatally Androgenized PCOS-like Rhesus Macaques in Relation to Type 2 Diabetes.

Congratulations to Dr. Abbott and the exceptional undergrads!
