Huge congratulations to Lisa Barroilhet, MD, of the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Gynecologic Oncology! Barroilhet received a GOG Foundation Scholar Investigator Award, presented in collaboration with NRG Oncology and the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.

This five-year award will provide support and training for Barroilhet to help her develop, execute and lead gynecologic oncology clinical trials and conduct high-quality gynecologic cancer research, as well as provide opportunities to participate in GOG Foundation/NRG Oncology and other relevant committee/leadership positions.

The Scholar Investigator Awards fund the development of GOG Foundation Scholar Investigators, who have academic or nonacademic medical center appointments, as they work to establish an independent clinical cancer research career with a patient-oriented clinical trial research focus in gynecologic cancer within the GOG Foundation and NRG Oncology.

As a recipient of this award, Barroilhet will be an important link between the UW Department of Ob-Gyn, NRG Oncology and the GOG. Amazing work, Dr. Barroilhet, and congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
