UW Ob-Gyn Division of Reproductive and Population Health Director Deborah Ehrenthal, MD, is a co-principal investigator on a new UW2020 grant meant to “provide some of the first estimates of large-scale population variability in the pathway to live birth.”
“A New Window into Human Reproduction” was funded by the UW2020 grant program, which was created to stimulate and support highly innovative and groundbreaking research at the University of Wisconsin–Madison over the next five years.
The project uses data aggregated from day-to-day tracking of menstrual cycles, sexual activity, ovulation, and conception through cell and tablet devices to collect more information about early days of pregnancy, before many people seek routine prenatal care.
