Grand Rounds: Heinrich presents “The Intersection of Human Trafficking and Wisconsin Youth”

On July 2, 2020, Ron Heinrich, PhD, chair of Slave Free Madison, presented the Grand Rounds lecture The Intersection of Human Trafficking and Wisconsin Youth.”

In his lecture, Heinrich defined human trafficking and reviewed available demographic data, and discussed ways traffickers identify youth, and things that contribute to vulnerability to trafficking. Of particular import to health care providers, he also identified red flags indicative of trafficking, and shared considerations when interacting with people who may be trafficked.
