On August 13, 2020, Nicholas Schmuhl, PhD, of the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Reproductive and Population Health, presented the Grand Rounds lecture Attitude Adjustments: Improving Health by “Treating” Knowledge and Beliefs.”

In his lecture, Schmuhl described the effects of attitudes and beliefs on health behaviors and outcomes, explained the role of effective health communication in attitude and behavior change, and identified ways to incorporate health communication into clinical work and health research.
