Jenny Higgins, PhD, of the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Reproductive and Population Health, delivered a plenary lecture at the Society for Scientific Study of Sexuality annual meeting in Denver on November 7, 2019.

Higgins presented the lecture “Contraceptives’ Effects on Sexual Functioning, Satisfaction, and Well-Being”, which inspired a lively Twitter conversation about how the sexual acceptability of different birth control affects people’s satisfaction with those methods, and their continued use.

Excellent work, Dr. Higgins! (If you’re sad to have missed this lecture, check out Dr. Higgins’ episode of the UW Ob-Gyn podcast about sexual acceptability of contraceptives and the “pleasure gap” in how we discuss and study birth control!)
