Awa Sanneh, MD, a member of the UW Ob-Gyn incoming resident class of 2024, was selected to join the global health track!

As part of the interdisciplinary UW SMPH global health track, she will participate in protected didactic sessions, small group work, and case-based learning, along with global health residents from other disciplines. The global health track also includes an away rotation during PGY-3 in a global heath setting.

Sanneh completed her MD at Johns Hopkins University. She grew up in The Gambia, and has a strong interest in healthcare disparities, minority health, community-based research; global health and access to care issues; and optimizing the practice of medicine in low resource environments.

Congratulations, Dr. Sanneh! We look forward to welcoming you to Wisconsin this summer!
