Lepic clears up misconceptions of yeast infections for US News and World Report

Molly Lepic, MD, of the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Academic Specialists in Ob-Gyn, contributed to an article from US News and World Report about yeast infections.

In the patient-oriented piece “What to Do About Yeast Infections”, Lepic discussed the most common causes of yeast infections, as well as symptoms. Lepic also weighed in on the idea of probiotic treatments:

“There hasn’t been any demonstrated study that says definitively that probiotics do help decrease the risk of yeast infections,” Lepic says. “So that’s something I encourage patients to talk to their doctors about if they’re interested in trying something like that.”
