On Wednesday, January 29, 2020, UW Ob-Gyn residents and faculty attended the Wisconsin Medical Society’s annual Wisconsin Doctor Day event at the Wisconsin State Capital.

The 2020 event added policy-focused breakout sessions. Cynthie Wautlet, MD, of the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology, presented during the Women’s Health Policy session before the legislative visits. In addition to the special policy sessions, the conference portion of the day focused on the issues of immunization and the Clean Indoor Air Act.

Residents Matt Wagar, MD, PGY-2, Connor Wang, MD, PGY-1, Emily Buttigieg, MD, PGY-3, Sierra Jansen, MD, PGY-4, and Ramsey Larson, MD, PGY-3 went to the Capitol to meet with legislators - we love to see the next generation getting involved in women’s health advocacy!
