Sharp shares Hope After Loss information on NBC-15

On October 15, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, NBC 15-Madison aired a local family’s story of pregnancy loss and the supports they found around Madison. “We had no idea it could happen to us:” mom shares story of miscarriages” features local woman Beth Czech’s experience with an ectopic pregnancy and later, stillbirth.

As part of the story, Kristen Sharp, MD, of the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Academic Specialists in Ob-Gyn discussed the frequency of pregnancy loss, and talked about the Hope After Loss clinic, a resource she created to address the unique physical and emotional needs of people experiencing pregnancy loss or preparing for pregnancy after a loss.
