Helen Powling, MPH, joins the UW Department of Ob-Gyn’s education team as coordinator for the Rural Residency Program, Global Health Track, and Sim Lab!
Before coming to the department, Powling worked at the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation, where she gauged the social impact of their current grant-giving efforts, built an evaluation protocol for corporate philanthropy programs, and conducted research on philanthropy and social impact for the VP of Community Investment and Partnership.
Prior to her time at American Family, she completed her Masters of Public Health at UW-Madison and worked for the Wisconsin Partnership Program during that time, supporting their grant program and researching how to evaluate policy, systems, and environmental change efforts undertaken by grantees.
Powling brings extensive experience in health-related organizations in Madison, including the Wisconsin Alliance for Women’s Health, the UW Institute for Research on Poverty, and UHS.
“I am really thrilled to be joining you all and continuing to grow alongside such a great team,” Powling says. And we’re thrilled to have you here! Please help us welcome Helen to the department!
