Alaniz presents at Wisconsin Public Health Association 2026 meeting
The Wisconsin Public Health Association hosted their 2026 Annual Conference in Wisconsin Dells May 19-21, 2026. Krissy Alaniz, PhD, MPH, clinical research manager for the UW-Madison Prevention Research Center core project Adaptation of Staying Healthy After Childbirth (STAC) to Prevent and Reduce Racial Disparities in Postpartum Morbidity and Mortality, brought a breakout session to the conference!
Alaniz presented Adapting Evidence-Based Interventions to Community Needs: Lessons from a Maternal Hypertension Case Study. During the breakout session, she walked participants through the process of adapting a hospital-based postpartum remote blood pressure program for community use to improve access, increase surveillance, earlier detection and management of maternal hypertension.
Incredible work, Krissy!
