Bennett promoted to Clinical Professor

Please join us in congratulating Eliza Bennett, MD, of the Division of Academic Specialists in Ob-Gyn! The UW School of Medicine and Public Health Clinician Teacher Track Faculty Appointments and Promotions Committee endorsed the Department of Ob-Gyn’s recommendation that Bennett be promoted to the rank of Clinical Professor, effective June 29, 2025.
Bennett received her MD from the University of Kansas in 2006 before coming to the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health for her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency. She joined the Division of Academic Specialists in Ob-Gyn faculty following graduation from residency.
While at UW, Bennett was awarded the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Resident Award in 2010, the 2013 UW Health Patient Experience Physician Champion Award, the Dr. Elizabeth Karlin Memorial Award in 2017, given out by the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws, and the John M. Anderson Award for Demonstrating Patience, Integrity and Compassion in the Care of Women back in 2018. Bennett is the Dennis D. and Lynn F. Christensen Professor in Family Planning.
