Brown, Williams featured at national conference on dissemination and implementation in health

Two faculty from the UW Department of Ob-Gyn were featured at the 14th Annual Conference on the Science of Dissemination and Implementation in Health (D&I), co-hosted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and AcademyHealth. Congratulations to UW Ob-Gyn Division of Academic Specialists Director Makeba Williams, MD and Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Health faculty Heidi Brown, MD, MAS!

Williams and Brown are co-authors on an abstract about a collaborative project with Christie Bartels, MD, of the UW SMPH Department of Medicine and Edmond Ramly, PhD, of the UW SMPH Institute for Clinical and Translational Research: “Examining primary care follow-up after staff protocol for high blood pressure in specialty patients after implementing BP connect”.

The Mind Over Matter team, including Brown, UW Ob-Gyn resident Alex Andes, MD, PGY-2, and research specialist Madeline Moureau, had an abstract accepted for a poster presentation: “Does the real-world match the randomized trial? Reach and effectiveness of a community-based incontinence program”.

The 14th Annual Conference on the Science of Dissemination and Implementation in Health (D&I), was co-hosted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and AcademyHealth on December 14-16, 2021. The Science of D&I Conference aims to ensure that evidence is used to inform decisions that will improve the health of individuals and communities.
