Cox joins Resident Research leadership team

Caroline Cox, MD, assistant professor in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, has agreed to take a new leadership role in the Resident Research Program. This leadership role as Co-Director of the Resident Research Program will be in addition to her role as Associate Residency Program Director. Effective in mid-May 2024, she will begin to serve in this capacity leading the Resident Research Program and aligning it with other aspects of our outstanding residency training program.

Cox joined the department in September 2023 as an assistant professor in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and Associate Program Director of the UW Department of Ob-Gyn Residency Program. She has a long-demonstrated commitment to resident education and an excellent background in research. Having an associate program director integrally involved with the resident research platform will be immensely valuable as the residency program continues the challenging work of refining the resident research experience.

Current Resident Research Co-Director Janelle Sobecki, MD, plans to step away from this role in the future but has generously agreed to stay in the role during a transition period.

Congratulations, Dr. Cox!
