Funding available for maternal-child health pilot projects through UW SMPH

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and state Department of Health Services (DHS) are teaming up to improve maternal and infant health across Wisconsin through a new funding opportunity, Healthy Wisconsin Families: Investing in the Infrastructure of Maternal and Infant Health​Applications for pilot projects are due May 30, 2023.

Proposals from nonprofit, Wisconsin-based health organizations should seek to improve the health outcomes of mothers and their infants during the prenatal and postpartum period by strengthening relationships between non-profit health organizations and community partners. Awards will be of up to $1.15 million.

Eligible applicants: Wisconsin-based non-profit hospital and health systems, Federally Qualified Health Centers, or other non-profit clinical care entities in partnership with one or more established community partners. Collaborations and consortia applications are encouraged.

Staff will host office hours on May 11 and May 16 (learn more and sign up) to provide technical assistance and answer questions. Apply by May 30.
