Grand Rounds: Andes presents “Ob-Gyn residency abortion training in a post-Dobbs era”
On February 8, Department of Ob-Gyn resident Alexandra Andes, MD, PGY-4, presented the Grand Rounds lecture “Ob-Gyn residency abortion training in a post-Dobbs era”.
In the lecture, Andes first addressed the current state and availability of abortion services within the United States and how it relates to Ob-Gyn residency programs. Then, she compared the availability of abortion training programs for Ob-Gyn residents before and after the Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022. Finally, Andes addressed the effect the Dobbs decision had on medical students, residents, and recent residency graduates.
