Grand Rounds: Bailey presents Placenta Accreta Spectrum: Beyond Cesarean Hysterectomy
On August 6, 2026, Erin Bailey, MD, MS, assistant professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, presented the Grand Rounds lecture “Placenta Accreta Spectrum: Beyond Cesarean Hysterectomy.”
In the lecture, Bailey discussed placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), explained its risk and factors and how it is diagnosed through ultrasound and MRI, and emphasized the importance of screening, specialized care, and uterine preservation treatment options for patients who want to maintain future fertility.
