Grand Rounds: Dehlendorf presents “Person-Centered Contraceptive Care: Advancing Reproductive Autonomy and Equity”
Christine Dehledorf, MD, MAS, of the University of California, San Francisco Person-Centered Reproductive Health Program, presented the UW Ob-Gyn Grand Rounds lecture “Person-Centered Contraceptive Care: Advancing Reproductive Autonomy and Equity” on Thursday, March 4.
In her lecture, Dehlendorf discussed different models of counseling commonly used in family planning care, and their strengths and weaknesses from a patient-centered perspective. She also assessed how health care disparities and implicit bias can influence contraceptive counseling, and described interventions to facilitate patient-centered contraceptive care.
