Grand Rounds: Lowry presents “The History of Paid Family Leave”

On December 9, 2021, UW Ob-Gyn resident Alexa Lowry, MD, PGY-4 presented the Grand Rounds lecture “The History of Paid Family Leave.”

In the lecture, Lowry defined maternity, paternity, and parental leave; compared parental leave policies in the United States to countries around the world; evaluated the benefits of parental leave; and explained the current state of paid parental leave in the U.S.
