Grand Rounds: Onyelobi presents “Complexities in the Care of Extremely Preterm Infants Born at The Edge of Viability”

On July 30, 2026, Claudette Onyelobi, MD, assistant professor in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Pediatrics, presented the Grand Rounds lecture “Complexities in the Care of Extremely Preterm Infants Born at the Edge of Viability”. 

In the lecture, Onyelobi explored the changing definition of viability, summarized obstetric practices at the edge of viability, evaluated survival rates and outcomes for extremely preterm infants, and discussed approaches of providing care for extremely preterm infants.
