Grand Rounds: Tran presents “From Correctional Care to Correct Care: Reproductive Health in Incarcerated Patients”

On February 10, 2022, UW Ob-Gyn resident Vienna Tran, MD, PGY-4 presented the Grand Rounds lecture “From Correctional Care to Correct Care: Reproductive Health in Incarcerated Patients.”

In the lecture, Tran examined the history and legal status of health access for person experiencing incarceration; described the barriers to access for patients seeking reproductive healthcare, including preventive, pregnancy, and postpartum care; and assessed the role of the obstetrician-gynecologist in providing care to incarcerated patients.
