Grand Rounds: Walker presents “Nobody warned me about this part: The complexities of postpartum care”

On March 23, UW Ob-Gyn resident Jessica Walker, MD, PGY-4, presented the Grand Rounds lecture “Nobody warned me about this part: The complexities of postpartum care.”

In the lecture, Walker defined the “fourth trimester” and highlighted its importance in obstetric care; outlined the typical inpatient postpartum course at our institution; and discussed common postpartum complaints as well as normal physiological changes, and when to intervene.
