Grand Rounds: Wetterhahn presents “More Than “OSH”: Why Outside Hospitals Transfer Patients and How You Can Help”

On March 9, 2023, UW Ob-Gyn resident Madeline Wetterhahn, MD, PGY-4, presented the Grand Rounds lecture “More Than “OSH”: Why Outside Hospitals Transfer Patients and How You Can Help”. 

In the lecture, Wetterhahn discussed the frequency of maternal transfers to the Madison birthing hospital where UW Ob-Gyn physicians practice; outlined most common reasons for transfers; talked about challenges faced by rural providers and patients during the hospital transfer process; and examined an example transfer case from different perspectives.
