Green’s nomination included ringing endorsements from colleagues, current and former students, and peers. She was celebrated for developing impactful additions to the UW School of Medicine and Public Health curriculum: in 2022, Green introduced the course Race in American Obstetrics and Gynecology, the first of its kind for medical students which explores how race and theories of racial differences informed the development of American obstetrics and gynecology. Since its introduction, this has been a highly sought-after elective course in the medical school.
