Grzebielski discusses menopause and gluteal tendinopathy with HealthCentral
Patrice Grzebielski, MD, associate professor in the Division of Academic Specialists in Ob-Gyn and director of the UW Health Menopause Clinic, spoke with HealthCentral for a recent story about menopause and gluteal tendinopathy.
In “Why Menopause Can Really Be a Pain in the Butt”, Grzebielski discussed how menopause-related changes can contribute to gluteal tendinopathy and other musculoskeletal symptoms, including joint pain and muscle loss:
“This condition is part of a larger, what we are now calling musculoskeletal syndrome of menopause, which includes that joint pain and loss in muscle mass and tendinopathies [in all areas of the body].”
