Grzebielski discusses ovarian cyst ruptures with HealthCentral

Patrice Grzebielski, MD, associate professor in the Division of Academic Specialists in Ob-Gyn and director of the UW Health Menopause Clinic, spoke with HealthCentral for a recent story about ovarian cyst ruptures. 

In “What Happens After an Ovarian Cyst Ruptures?”, Grzebielski discussed what happens when an ovarian cyst breaks open, common symptoms, treatment options, and when patients should seek emergency medical care:

“About 80 to 85% of the time, we can just do conservative management, meaning we watch and make sure symptoms are stable.”
