Hartenbach and Heisler discuss launch of Integrated Specialty Care for Women services at Eastpark Medical Center
Ellen Hartenbach, MD, chair of the UW Department of Ob-Gyn, and Christine Heisler, MD, MS, associate professor and director of the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, are sharing more information about the UW Health Integrated Specialty Care for Women (ISCW) launch at Eastpark Medical Center with local media.
In the UW Health news article “Integrated Specialty Care for Women begins at Eastpark Medical Center”, Hartenbach and Heisler touched upon the need for new treatment and management options throughout the state that target specific aspects of women’s health, like pelvic floor disorders, incontinence, and sexual health issues. The Eastpark Medical Center will be the first facility in Wisconsin to offer this integrated specialty care for women, by combining the expertise of urogynecologists, urologists, gastrointestinal experts, colorectal surgeons, and physical therapists in one, accessible place.
“Women need to know that there are options to address and manage the common but very often treatable things they’re going through,” said Heisler.
“U.S. News & World Report ranked obstetrics and gynecology at UW Health among the top 10 in the nation this year. At Eastpark, our patients will have access to what makes our care great: an amazing care team, the latest clinical trials, technology, physiotherapy and minimally invasive procedures,” said Hartenbach.
The ISCW launch was covered by WMTV-15 in “UW Health Eastpark launches state’s first program addressing women’s stigmatized health needs.”
