Hartenbach appointed as senior UW SMPH representative on AAMC Council on Faculty and Academic Societies

Congratulations to Ellen Hartenbach, MD, chair of the Department of Ob-Gyn and professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology! Hartenbach was appointed by UW School of Medicine and Public Health Dean Nita Ahuja, MD, MBA to be the senior representative from the SMPH on the American Association of Medical Colleges Council on Faculty and Academic Societies (AAMC-CFAS). The appointment is for a three-year term. 

The AAMC-CFAS identifies critical issues facing medical school faculty and academic societies and serves as a voice for both constituencies within AAMC’s leadership and governance structures. As a council member, Hartenbach will bring issues of concern to University of Wisconsin faculty to the AAMC’s attention. She will also meet frequently with leadership in the Dean’s Office to share updates from the CFAS meetings.
