Infusino departs following Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship

After three years of training in the UW Ob-Gyn Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship, Scott Infusino, MD, is preparing to graduate. Infusino shares what’s next after fellowship, the important lessons learned during training, and messages of gratitude for people who shaped his time at UW.
Where will you be going and what will you be doing after UW Ob-Gyn?
I will be starting a second fellowship in Fetal Therapy at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
What are the most important things you learned during your fellowship?
Who you surround yourself with is really important. That was one of the main reasons I wanted to match for fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. I always enjoyed working in the department, and having such a great environment was really motivating.
How do you feel UW Ob-Gyn prepared you for success after fellowship?
The department really focuses on fellow education and the faculty always give us the opportunity to be involved and have a meaningful role in interesting cases - whether in the operating room or in ultrasound.
What will you miss most about UW Ob-Gyn and/or Madison?
I'm going to miss the people the most. Madison was also such a great place to live, and I've enjoyed my time here for the last 3 years. The bike trails are second to none!
Any special shout-outs or thanks to faculty, staff, other trainees who really shaped your time here?
Thank you so much Dr. Rhoades for giving me the opportunity to train at such a great place. Thank you Dr. Igor for your mentorship during my time here. Thank you to my other MFM attendings for your support and guidance over these past 3 years. Thank you to my co-fellows for your support and friendship.
