Integrated Specialty Care for Women program showcased in Brava Magazine

UW Health’s Integrated Specialty Care for Women (ISCW) was recently showcased in Brava Magazine. The multidisciplinary clinical program, which opened its doors in November 2024, brings together physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinicians from obstetrics and gynecology, urology, colorectal surgery, gastroenterology, behavioral health, and physical therapy to offer seamless care for a variety of concerns.

In “Leaks, Pain and Pelvic Health”, Sarah McAchran, MD, professor in the Department of Urology, and Madelyn Esposito, LPC, program manager at UW Health Eastpark Medical Center’s Sexual Health Clinic, shared their knowledge on different treatment options for pelvic health issues, ranging from surgery to sex therapy. Both providers work with ISCW to deliver treatment.

“‘It’s really very patient-specific with different treatment paths depending on what we’re treating,’ [McAchran] says. ‘Just know you don’t have to ‘tough it out.’ With the right treatment, you can participate in everyday life again with confidence.’”

The article also shares testimony from real patients regarding their pelvic health journeys.
