Jacques becomes Title X Medical Director at Wisconsin DHS

Congratulations to Laura Jacques, MD, associate professor in the Division of Academic Specialists in Ob-Gyn, who recently became the medical director of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Title X Reproductive Health and Family Planning grant! Jacques stepped into that role on April 1, 2024.

The Wisconsin Reproductive Health and Family Planning (RHFP) program supports clinics across the state of Wisconsin. RHFP helps clinics provide family planning services, reproductive health services, and sexual health services.

As the Title X Medical Director, Jacques oversees the provision of comprehensive family planning, reproductive health and sexual health services across the state. She is responsible for leading the integration of these services within the state’s network of clinics, ensuring they are accessible to all Wisconsinites who need them. This involves working to inform policy, enhancing service delivery and fostering strong partnerships across the healthcare system.

“I am driven by a deep commitment to reproductive healthcare and hope to make a meaningful impact in access to and quality of that care to the people of our state,” Jacques said. “This role offers the opportunity to promote health equity, improve care coordination and expand access to reproductive healthcare to the people of our state.”
