The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is pleased to invite you to attend the Women’s Health and Health Equity Research Lecture & Symposium on October 20, 2022.

Join other healthcare professionals, population health experts and community advocates in person in 1325 HSLC or online via Zoom from 6:45-10:00am on October 20 for an exciting morning of presentations on research addressing persistent gender, racial, and other disparities.

Highlights include the keynote lecture “Pioneering Racial Justice, Health Equity, and the Health of Black Women: The Medical Career and Activist Life of Dr. Virginia M. Alexander,” presented by Vanessa Northington Gamble, MD, PhD, University Professor of Medical Humanities at The George Washington University.

New this year: five researchers will share quick presentations of their compelling health equity research during the Brief & Brilliant talk session. The morning also includes university-community research presentations and a bustling poster session.
