Patankar trainee Sejal Sharma accepted into Morgridge Entrepreneurial Bootcamp

Huge congratulations to Sejal Sharma, PhD candidate in the UW Endocrinology and Reproductive Physiology program and member of Manish Patankar’s lab, who was accepted into the Morgridge Entrepreneurial Bootcamp (MEB) for 2023!

The MEB is a one-week intensive training program in technology entrepreneurship for graduate students in the sciences, engineering, and math. MEB is co-sponsored by the Initiative for Studies in Transformational Entrepreneurship (INSITE) and the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship. Sharma will attend the bootcamp in June 2023.

Sharma, who is focusing her research on novel treatments for ovarian cancer, hopes the bootcamp will enhance her entrepreneurial skills and help her learn more about the biopharmaceutical industry. She says:

“My dad is an entrepreneur and I am a scientist. I always wanted to do biology, science and business for betterment of society. I think Morgridge Entrepreneurial Bootcamp (MEB) will help me develop fundamental link between biology and business. I am looking forward to this bootcamp and grabbing the most I can from this opportunity. I would also like to thank my Professor, Dr. Manish Patankar, for giving me this opportunity for my future growth.”

Incredible work, Sejal!
