REAL Lab resource shared with clinicians nationwide by Power to Decide
Members of the Reproductive Equity Action Lab (REAL), which is led by Tiffany Green, PhD, associate professor in the Division of Reproductive and Population Health, developed a resource to provide more background about trans and gender diverse health care which has been disseminated to clinicians around the country through Power to Decide!
“Trans & Gender Diverse Health 101: An Overview of Gender Affirming Care”, created by REAL members Ellen Schenk, Brooke Whitfield, and Klaira Lerma – with significant input from community and lived experience experts – provides a glossary of common terminology, outlines common barriers to equitable health care for trans and gender diverse individuals, and discusses of myths around trans health.
The team at REAL is working closely with colleagues at Power to Decide to tailor this resource for Bedsider Providers+. Bedsider Providers+ equips clinicians with the up-to-date information, tools, and resources they need to provide high-quality sexual and reproductive health care in today’s complex climate.
