Residency program announces 2026-27 chief residents
The UW Department of Ob-Gyn residency program is pleased to announce the residents selected for leadership positions for the 2026-27 academic year. These residents will move into their leadership roles on May 1, 2026, following a training and onboarding process with the current chief residents.
Administrative Chiefs:
Raiven Owusu, MD, and Nicolette Codispoti, MD, MS, MPH, will serve as Administrative Chiefs. As the Administrative Chiefs, they will provide oversight and guidance to junior residents, enhance the residency program educational experience, and help facilitate communication among residents, faculty, and department administration. They will serve as resident advocates and provide administrative leadership in conjunction with the residency program director team on several important items including policy, scheduling, and evaluation. Please welcome Drs. Owusu and Codispoti and thank outgoing administrative chiefs Rusha Bajpai and Nettie Larson for their time and commitment to the leadership of the residency program.
Education and Wellness Chiefs:
Camila Ochoa, MD, and Alma Farooque, MD, will collaboratively serve as Education and Wellness Chiefs. As the Education and Wellness Chiefs, they will help oversee the residents' educational experience, identify curricular and simulation opportunities specific to trainees, and optimize team-based learning. Additionally, they will serve on the department’s education committee. New this year, their focus will also include resident wellness. Please welcome Drs. Ochoa and Farooque and thank Christina Dudley for their time and commitment to improving education across our department.
Quality Improvement Chiefs:
Michelle DeMeo, MD, and Emily Dorian, MD, MPH, will serve as Quality Improvement Chiefs. As the Quality Co-Chiefs, they will actively participate in all aspects of the department's Quality Program, including Quality Improvement Review Committee and the Quality Committee. They will also serve as liaisons to residents for quality and patient safety work and help to create and develop quality curricula for the future. Please welcome Drs. DeMeo and Dorian and thank Dr. Codispoti for their time and commitment to quality and patient safety.
