Rural residency highlighted in CMS report

Congratulations to the UW Ob-Gyn Rural Residency team! Our first-in-the-nation rural ob-gyn training program was prominently featured in a recent “Improving Access to Maternal Health Care in Rural Communities” issue brief from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service.

In addition to being included in a section on programs expanding training of maternal health providers in rural areas, our rural track gets a specific highlight describing our program, results thus far, facilitators that help our program operate, and more. Check out pages 46-47 for the whole story.
