Senderowicz talks about US birth rate with CS Monitor

Leigh Senderowicz, ScD, MPH, assistant professor in the Division of Reproductive and Population Health and UW-Madison Department of Gender & Women’s Studies, recently spoke with the Christian Science Monitor for a recent story about the birth rate in the United States and the potential impacts of trying to increase it.

In “Trump sees budget bill promoting a baby boom. Others say more is needed.”, Senderowicz stated that any strategy aimed at fertility will ultimately sideline reproductive options:

“We just have decades and decades and decades of evidence that this is the case.”

Dr. Senderowicz also recently joined the Women’s Healthcast to talk about policies that can have an impact on reproductive choice and birth rates. In “Reproductive Autonomy in 2025”, Senderowicz shared her insights on the reproductive autonomy landscape in 2025.
