Share your research at the 2022 Women’s Health and Health Equity Research Lecture and Symposium!

The UW Women’s Health and Health Equity Research Lecture and Symposium, coming up October 20, 2022, connects healthcare professionals, population health experts and community advocates dedicated to advancing health equity. There are two opportunities for you to share your health equity and health disparities research at the 2022 Symposium!

CALL FOR BRIEF AND BRILLIANT TALK PROPOSALS

The Brief & Brilliant (B&B) talks are TedX-style presentations aimed to translate women's health and health equity research in ways that engage a broad audience and emphasize the public relevance of this work.

The goal is to emphasize the main conclusions of the research rather than the methodological details behind it. Five scholars will be selected to each give a 3-minute lightning talk, highlighting an idea from their area of work that is particularly important, relevant, or intriguing.

The B&B talks will be in person at the HSLC from 7:05-7:30am on Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Please complete a B&B talk submission HERE by Sunday, August 21 at 11:59pm.

CALL FOR POSTER SUBMISSIONS

We welcome research (from bench to community) that focuses on gender, racial, and other health disparities. We are seeking to showcase a wide variety of research, and encourage early career professionals, trainees and community partners to share their work. When submitting your poster, be prepared to describe how your research addresses a health disparity or improves health equity. The poster session will be in person at the HSLC from 6:45-10:30am on Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Please submit your poster abstract HERE by Sunday, September 11 at 11:59pm.
