Sobecki discusses WISH Clinic with news outlets during Women’s Health Week
The US Department of Health and Human Services Office of Women’s Health celebrated National Women’s Health Week May 12-18, 2024. In honor of that week, Janelle Sobecki, MD, assistant professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, discussed the UW Health Women’s Integrative Sexual Health Clinic with local news.
In the interviews, Sobecki talked about how common sexual side effects can be during cancer treatment, and the importance of bringing up symptoms with providers:
“"Don't be afraid to bring these issues up. These are medical issues," Dr. Sobecki said. "The clinic and the hospital are the right places to bring it up. It may mean that the person that you bring it up to isn't the right person to fix the problem, but they have resources."”
You can watch Sobecki discuss the WISH Clinic with Channel 3 and WQOW Eau Claire.
