Spencer invited to ACGME Review Committee for Ob-Gyn

Congratulations to Ryan Spencer, MD, MS, associate professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology and director of the Gynecologic Oncology fellowship! Spencer was invited to join the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Review Committee for Obstetrics and Gynecology. He will begin a six-year term in academic year 2025-26.
Members of the Review Committee are responsible for setting accreditation standards, providing peer evaluation of residency and fellowship programs in obstetrics and gynecology, assessing compliance with educational requirements, and conferring an accreditation status for every program. Review Committee members are nominated by ABOG, ACOG, or other nominating organizations. Selection from the nominees is based on professional experiences and prior service in national organizations and committees.
