Srishti Gupta, Shapiro Summer Research student, wins poster award at ACP Wisconsin

Srishti Gupta, medical student in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and former Shapiro Summer Research student, received the Best Poster and Presentation award amongst medical student and resident presenters at the American College of Physicians Wisconsin conference in early September!

Gupta presented the work she completed with Kara Hoppe, DO, PhD, professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, for her summer research project. The poster “A Comparative Analysis of Hypertension Classification Using 24-Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring in Young Women With and Without a History of Pregnancy” assessed the 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (AMBP) results of women from the MyHEART trial who had a presumed clinical diagnosis of chronic hypertension and determine the incidence of masked, white coat, nocturnal or confirmed hypertension.

Congratulations, Srishti and Dr. Hoppe!
