Welcome Abigail Nelezen, MD, MS, MHA, to Division of Academic Specialists in Ob-Gyn

Abigail Nelezen, MD, MS, MHA, has accepted an offer to join the UW Department of Ob-Gyn as an assistant professor (CT) in the Division of Academic Specialists in Ob-Gyn, starting September 1, 2024.

A native of northeastern Wisconsin, Nelezen earned her undergraduate degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, after which she completed a Master of Science in biological science and a Master in Health Administration at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago. Nelezen earned her medical degree from Chicago Medical School. She is currently completing obstetrics and gynecology residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Alpha Omega Alpha, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She has extensive leadership experience, including serving on the executive board of Medical Students for Choice, chairing the Thomas Jefferson University Ob-Gyn Residency Education Committee, and more. 

Nelezen will practice at UW Health Union Corners Ob-Gyn Clinic. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Nelezen back to Wisconsin!
