What was your professional background before joining the UW Department of Ob-Gyn?
Prior to becoming a midwife, I worked for 6 years on the inpatient General Surgery unit at UW Hospital. I also worked as a birth doula. I aspire to be a lifelong learner, and care deeply about providing equitable patient care, especially to LGBTQ+ patients. I am proud to be part of the UW Ob-Gyn Department because I know I am supported in these goals and values.
What will be your key responsibilities in this position?
I will be working with the CNM team and caring for patients in both the ambulatory and inpatient settings.
Where are you from?/Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Evansville, WI, but I have lived in Madison for 10 years now. I live on the near East side with my wife, Jazzmine, and our two cats.
What are some fun facts about you?
In my free time, I enjoy crochet, reading science fiction, and going to thrift stores.
Please help us welcome Anna to the department!
