Welcome Bailey Pfander, PA, to Division of Gynecologic Oncology

Bailey Pfander, PA, joined the Division of Gynecologic Oncology on November 17, 2025. Bailey will work as an inpatient PA, providing collaborative care to gynecologic oncology patients. Please help us welcome Bailey to the department! 

What was your professional background before joining the UW Department of Ob-Gyn? 

Before joining the gynecologic oncology team as a physician assistant (PA), I worked in emergency medicine (EM). My time in EM began with a dedicated fellowship in 2019, after which I practiced in several emergency departments.   

Why were you interested in joining the UW Department of Ob-Gyn? 

I transitioned specialties to be more directly involved in women’s health.  

What is your life like outside of work? 

In my personal time, I enjoy time spent with my wife and my dog, and activities/hobbies such as ice hockey, LEGO building, and watching any Wisconsin sports team.
