Welcome Caroline Cox, MD, to Division of FPMRS

Caroline Cox, MD, will be joining the UW Department of Ob-Gyn’s Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery as an assistant professor on September 11, 2023! Dr. Cox completed ob-gyn residency with our department in 2017; please help us welcome her back to Madison!

Dr. Cox graduated from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by ob-gyn residency here at the UW. She went on to complete her FPMRS fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor. During residency, she earned the AUGS Award for Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. As an FPMRS fellow, she was a Society of Gynecologic Surgeons Fellow Scholar and member of the AUGS Patient Education Committee.

Following fellowship, Dr. Cox joined the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania as an assistant professor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology in the Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery. She has been active in institutional service at Penn Medicine, including leading the LGBTQ Care Subgroup of the Penn Medicine Dismantling Disparities, Inequities, and Systemic Problems to Elevate Lives (DISPEL) Committee, serving on the Coordinating Gender Affirming Care Committee, and sitting on curriculum and clinical competency committees for both ob-gyn residencies out of Penn Medicine.

Dr. Cox’s clinical, educational, and research skills will be an excellent addition to our department. We look forward to welcoming her and her family back to Madison later this year!
